Job Summary

The Sr. Solution Architect, D&T, SAP BW possesses in-depth knowledge and experience to work autonomously. The position is responsible for the overall design, development and implementation of SAP BW application running on HANA.  The role is proficient in the areas of solution design, development, performance tuning and troubleshooting. Working in a global environment, this role has a hands-on approach capable of working across teams and time zones.

This role must have hands-on experience in SAP BW, data warehouse design, Extraction & Reporting, Planning with leading teams of junior developers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as an expert in leading, designing, implementing and supporting enterprise BI dashboards and reports.
• Act as an expert in leading, designing, implementing SAP BW on HANA application, and supporting the enterprise Business Planning process integrating with APO.
• Develop reports, dashboards & KPI scorecards and aggregate data from various sources.
• Balance functionalities look/feel and performance to ensure an excellent user experience which is a strong focus of the role.
• Work with other teams to gather and document reporting requirements and to use the underlying data sources/data warehouses to meet business requirements.

• Worked extensively on LO Cockpit Extractions, Flat File Extractions and Generic Extractions. Having knowledge of using SAP delivered information structures, User defined information Structures for extracting data from different Logistic Information system (LIS).
• Modeling of Custom Info objects, Info object maintenance, Data Sources, Info Sources, DTP’s, Info packages, PSA, Advanced DSO objects, DSO Objects, Info cubes, Data Marts, Info Providers, Multi Providers, Aggregates, APD's.
• Expert knowledge in ABAP to write/Debug start routines, end routines, expert routines, CMOD enhancements at query level and enhancements at S4/ECC level to modify and write datasource logics via Functional module or Z extractors.

• Liaise with the SAP Functional Teams to work on solutioning on all Gaps/Enhancements or bug fixes.

• Expertise in Creating/modifying complex HANA Calculations views on multiple sources. Integrating currency conversion and other complex formulas like YTD, MTD, QTD etc.  to feed external sources like Power BI.
• Expertise in writing start routines, end routines, expert routines, user exits and data source exits using Functional module etc.
• Ability to create/enhance Hana CDS views with usage of multiple annotations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Bridging the gap between business necessities and technical considerations, negotiating solutions, and encouraging creativity when feasible
• Contributing to the ongoing growth and delivery of BI services, inclusive of projects, while ensuring constant protection and security of business data
• Demonstrating keen attention to detail and a commitment to documenting processes for future reference and benefit
• Collaborate with other sites where appropriate to ensure best practice is used and solutions are standardized and transferrable

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Preferably in Computer Science
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in the areas specified under Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
• Prior Experience on SAP HANA Attribute views, Analytic views, and Calculation views etc. and ability to create customized calculation views. And strong ABAP expertise.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role or a similar position with relevant experience. Required
