Module Lead - Apache Solr/Java Job

Technologies:

Solr, Java, Spring boot, React, API, website search technologies, SEO, continuous deployment and DevOps tools, Git

Responsibilities:

• Translate business goals into technical requirements, conduct code/design reviews, and drive the technical implementation of web projects throughout the project lifecycle
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable web, mobile and eCommerce solutions that meet business needs.
• Partner with Visual Design and User Experience teams to develop effective/engaging designs.
• Own and drive specific area(s) of website functionality such as search, products, account, videos, web site performance – including prioritized enhancement stories and development of features for those areas of responsibility
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and agile development.

Skills/Qualifications: 

• At least 7 years of web application development experience in the search field
• Advanced Java expertise
• Expert with Apache SOLR and Spring Boot
• Experience with SOLR Master/Slave Replication implementations or SOLR Cloud
• Solid understanding of consuming and building RESTful APIs
• Experience with React, HTML and CSS
• Knowledge of current search engine trends and best practices on topics such as keywords, tuning, synonyms, boost/bury, SEO, etc.
• Experience with SAP Commerce and Adobe Experience Manager is a plus
• Ability to write & document clean and efficient code
• Understanding of common development principles and design patterns
• Understanding of the software development process, version control
• Agile development experience.
