Job Description:
Years of Experience: 5+ years
Technologies: AWS/GCP/Azure infrastructure, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), Scripting Languages, IaaC (CloudFormation, Terraform), Configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible), Experience with CI/CD framework (GitHub/Jenkins), Cloud Security, Monitoring tools (DataDog, Kibana, Dynatrace, CloudWatch), Understanding of web services, REST and XML concepts, and developer tools
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, configuration, migration, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure, with an intense focus on resiliency, and flexibility.
- Development and implementation of enterprise technology standards and personas to be used globally at all corporate sites leveraging regional resources whenever possible.
- Collaborating on best practices and governance for an evolving cloud-based infrastructure. This will require experience working in virtualized environments, computer networking, internet communication standards, web services, and various operating systems.
- Perform hands-on activities involved in creating cloud infrastructure components, migrating from, or integrating with on-premises services, and developing self-service tooling and metrics to empower delivery teams’ autonomy.
- Research and implement best practices derived from industry experiences and standards.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional environment with network engineers, security engineers, system engineers, software engineers across business units to define, document, and disseminate the strategy and progress against delivery goals.
- Responsible for supporting documentation, training, and mentoring as it relates to their core knowledge of infrastructure and the transition into the operations or managed services teams
- Responding & support Lower environments monitoring alerts.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working in an engineering role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms. (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience building & supporting AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS, EKS, LBs, ELK, EBS, EFS, ELB, AWS Native CI/CD Services, S3)
- Certifications: ITIL, DevOps, AWS, Azure, Agile
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools) and Configuration Management (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible).
- Experience in cloud security concepts (e.g., firewall, proxy, key management, IAM, certificate management)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Bash, Python)
- Experience designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies with a focus on Kubernetes
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Kibana, Dynatrace, CloudWatch
- Strong Infrastructure acumen, including cross-domain knowledge, preferably within a systems administration role.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts using GitHub, Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Bamboo
- Experience in traditional practices such as IT Service Management and DevOps
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
