Job Requisition: Senior DataStage Developer (Remote)

Position Title: Senior DataStage Developer

Location: Remote

Department: Data Engineering / IT

Experience Level: 7+ years overall, including 5+ years in IBM DataStage

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DataStage Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL development, advanced SQL proficiency, and hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage, including Snowflake adapters. This remote role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines to support enterprise-level data integration and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
• Implement and manage Snowflake adapters for seamless cloud data integration.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand data requirements.
• Optimize SQL queries and ETL workflows for performance and scalability.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues across multiple systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Document technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and process logic.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of overall experience in ETL development.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage.
• Strong command of SQL (including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning).
• Experience with Snowflake adapters and cloud data integration.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools and version control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
