Senior / Lead IT Architect

Role summary

We are seeking a Senior / Lead IT Architect to provide technical and architectural leadership across complex digital initiatives. This role is responsible for defining target architecture, producing high‑quality architecture deliverables, and guiding multiple delivery teams to build scalable, secure, and future‑ready solutions aligned with business strategy.

The ideal candidate is proactive, a strong team player, and capable of influencing at both technical and senior‑stakeholder levels while remaining sufficiently hands‑on to validate designs and guide implementation.


Key responsibilities

Architecture leadership & strategy

  • Lead the definition of application and system architectures across digital platforms, translating business objectives into target‑state IT blueprints and roadmaps.
  • Develop and own architecture deliverables (solution designs, architecture decision records, integration models, non‑functional requirements).
  • Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise strategies, standards, and long‑term technology direction.

Technical authority & governance

  • Act as a technical authority on complex initiatives, reviewing designs and resolving significant architectural challenges.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and platforms to enhance digital capabilities.
  • Establish and evolve architecture patterns, standards, and best practices across teams.

Delivery partnership & mentoring

  • Partner with product owners, engineering leaders, security, and operations to ensure architecture is executable and supports Agile and DevOps delivery.
  • Guide and mentor less‑experienced architects and senior engineers in architecture methods, requirements analysis, and design quality.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle, from concept to production.

Required technical expertise

Architecture & engineering

  • Proven experience in Software Architecture and Domain Architecture for large‑scale, distributed systems.
  • Strong full‑stack development background, enabling effective design validation and technical guidance.

Core technologies (hands‑on experience expected)

  • Java / Core Java
  • Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security
  • Hibernate
  • SQL
  • JavaScript
  • Angular, AngularJS, Angular Material
  • Python

Cloud, DevOps & data

  • Architecture and delivery experience on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles (CI/CD, automation, deployment strategies, observability).
  • Experience designing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data integration pipelines.

Emerging & applied domains

  • Experience with or strong exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) architectures.
  • Practical experience working with AI tools and/or AI‑enabled solutions, including applying AI responsibly to accelerate design, development, and delivery.

Leadership & behavioral competencies

  • Proactive leadership: anticipates architectural risks and drives decisions early.
  • Team‑first mindset: collaborates effectively across disciplines and organizational boundaries.
  • Strategic thinking: balances immediate delivery needs with long‑term architectural sustainability.
