Job Description: Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Lead (Sales Order & Inventory Conversions)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Lead to independently drive and manage critical data conversion projects (11i to R12) within our Supply Chain Management (SCM) landscape, focusing specifically on Sales Orders and Inventory modules. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of both the functional configurations and the underlying technical architecture of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between the IT technical teams and the business users, ensuring seamless process confirmation, effective support, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution: Independently lead the design, development, testing, and deployment phases of data conversion projects for Sales Orders (OM) and Inventory (INV) modules.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate extensively with IT Business Users and stakeholders to conduct detailed requirements analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis, translating complex business needs into robust functional and technical specifications.
- Solution Design & Development: Design and implement technical solutions, including the development of RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) components, utilizing tools like PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, and Workflows.
- Data Conversion Management: Manage end-to-end data migration and conversion activities, including data extraction, data cleansing, data loading into staging tables, and processing into the Oracle EBS system using utilities like SQL*Loader and FNDLOAD.
- Stakeholder Communication & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for business users and the internal Project Team from IR, providing regular status updates, obtaining process confirmations, and offering expert production support.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans, and guide the testing processes, including functional, system integration (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the quality and performance of all solutions.
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain thorough functional and technical documentation (e.g., MD050, MD070, TE040 documents following AIM methodology), and conduct user training sessions to ensure effective system utilization.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Provide high-level technical and functional support, troubleshooting complex issues, and coordinating with Oracle Support (raising SRs) when necessary to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of techno-functional experience with Oracle EBS R12, with a proven track record of leading at least two full-cycle implementations or major conversion projects.
- Module Expertise: In-depth functional knowledge of Oracle EBS SCM modules, particularly Order Management (OM) and Inventory (INV), including related concepts like Advanced Pricing, Shipping Execution, and the Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on technical skills in PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, and AOL concepts.
- Data Management: Extensive experience with data conversions, interfaces (inbound/outbound), and data loading processes.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently, lead cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Methodology: Familiarity with project methodologies like AIM or OUM is highly desirable.
