Senior SAP Project Manager / Project Manager (Mid-Level)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project  Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP initiatives across business and IT organizations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with SAP ECC environments, managing project schedules, coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking risks and issues, and ensuring successful project delivery. Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, or transformation programs is highly desirable.

This role requires strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, along with a solid understanding of SAP project methodologies and enterprise application landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Coordinate and manage SAP-related projects from initiation through deployment and hypercare.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Track project progress and proactively identify schedule, scope, and resource risks.
• Facilitate project status meetings, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, system integrators, and leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure alignment among project participants.
• Manage action items, dependencies, and issue resolution activities.
• Support business readiness, change management, training, and deployment planning efforts.

Governance & Reporting

• Prepare project status reports, dashboards, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and executive summaries.
• Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and overall project health.
• Ensure adherence to PMO standards, governance processes, and project management methodologies.
• Track project KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.

SAP Program Support

• Support SAP ECC enhancement projects, upgrades, integrations, and business transformation initiatives.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA assessment, migration, implementation, or rollout projects when applicable.
• Coordinate testing activities, cutover planning, and post-go-live support.
• Assist in vendor management and third-party coordination activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of project coordination or project management experience within enterprise IT environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting SAP projects, preferably in SAP ECC environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and ERP implementation lifecycles.
• Experience managing project schedules using Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience working with SAP functional areas such as:
• Finance (FI/CO)
• Materials Management (MM)
• Sales & Distribution (SD)
• Production Planning (PP)
• Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)
• Supply Chain processes
• Procure to Pay (P2P)
• Project Systems
• Experience supporting system integration, data migration, testing, and cutover activities.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience working with global teams and system integration partners.
