About the Role
We are looking for a highly accomplished Workday Solution Architect / Principal Consultant with 10+ years of Workday experience to lead complex enterprise transformations and shape client success from strategy through delivery. This role is ideal for a trailblazer who brings deep expertise across Workday functional modules and integrations, thrives in pre-sales engagements, and inspires high-performing delivery teams.
As a trusted architect and senior advisor, you will own solution direction, influence roadmap decisions, lead pre-sales pursuits, and ensure the delivery of scalable, future-ready Workday solutions aligned with business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the overall Workday solution owner, defining end-to-end architecture across functional modules, integrations, security, reporting, and data strategy.
- Lead pre-sales activities including solution design, RFP/RFI responses, effort estimations, client presentations, and executive-level workshops.
- Partner with sales and leadership teams to shape winning Workday proposals and drive deal conversions.
- Design and govern complex Workday integration architectures leveraging EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and middleware platforms.
- Provide architectural oversight for multiple Workday functional areas such as HCM, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Absence, Payroll, Financials, or Adaptive Planning.
- Lead or support Workday module implementations, configurations, and optimizations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership, guiding best practices, roadmap planning, and post‑go‑live optimization strategies.
- Lead and mentor functional and technical consultants, fostering strong team culture, capability building, and delivery excellence.
- Ensure adherence to Workday standards, release management discipline, security best practices, and scalable design principles.
- Review solution designs, oversee complex issue resolution, and support critical escalations during implementation and AMS phases.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of hands-on Workday experience, with demonstrated ownership of large-scale, multi-module implementations and programs.
- Deep expertise across Workday integrations and core functional modules, with strong understanding of cross-module impacts.
- Proven experience in a Solution Architect, Principal Consultant, or Lead Architect role for enterprise Workday programs.
- Strong pre-sales credentials, including client-facing implementation and solutioning experience, proposal leadership, and executive-level communication.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday architecture, Business Process Framework, security model, reporting, and data structures.
- Ability to connect business strategy to system design, balancing functional needs with technical scalability.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including C‑suite interactions.
- Demonstrated success in team building, mentoring, and leading global delivery teams across geographies.
Nice to Have
- Workday certifications (HCM, Integration, Financials, Studio, or other advanced certifications) — highly preferred.
- Experience with Workday Extend, Prism Analytics, Payroll integrations, and third‑party ecosystem tools.
- Background in managing or contributing to Centers of Excellence (CoE) or Workday practices.
- Experience in AMS, optimization, and continuous improvement engagements.
- Exposure to Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models in large enterprise environments.
