Role Overview
We are seeking a person with strong track record in managing SAP implementations and rollouts. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across multiple delivery methodologies and demonstrates a forward-thinking mindset by leveraging AI-driven tools and automation to improve project outcomes, governance, and reporting.
This role requires a blend of program leadership, technology acumen, and innovation capability, particularly in evolving project management practices aligned to SAP’s latest ecosystem, including Cloud ALM (CALM).
Key Responsibilities
Methodology & Delivery Excellence
- Apply and tailor delivery methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, and SAP Activate
- Establish and continuously improve project templates, standards, accelerators, and best practices
- Lead program planning, execution, and stabilization phases with a focus on scalability and repeatability
SAP Tools & Platforms
- Utilize SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) as the primary project management and lifecycle tool, build an on-premise tool that is a mimic of CALM but much more easier to use.
- Integrate and manage other enterprise project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow, Solution Manager where applicable) as needed
- Ensure effective use of SAP best practices for implementation tracking and reporting
AI-Driven Innovation
- Leverage AI/ML capabilities to:
- Automate project reporting, status updates, and health indicators
- Create intelligent dashboards for predictive risk and issue management
- Enhance template creation and mapping for faster rollouts
- Improve estimation, resource planning, and decision-making
- Drive experimentation and development of new AI-enabled tools and accelerators aligned to evolving SAP ecosystems
Reporting & Governance
- Establish strong project health monitoring frameworks, including KPIs and predictive analytics
- Provide executive-level reporting with actionable insights using AI-enabled solutions
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Train cross-functional and geographically distributed teams on the tools built and the delivery accelerators created
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor project managers and delivery teams on best practices and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in SAP project/program management
- Proven experience leading multiple S/4HANA implementations and global rollouts
- Strong expertise in SAP Activate methodology
- Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) and SAP project lifecycle tools
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex transformation programs
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AI/ML tools or platforms applied in project or delivery management
- Experience in building or deploying automation tools, accelerators, or PM frameworks
- Certifications:
- PMP / PRINCE2
- SAP Activate Project Manager
- Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in SAP landscapes
- Experience working in globally distributed teams and multi-vendor environments
