We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior SAP Project Manager to lead end-to-end SAP transformation programs across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes. The ideal candidate brings a unique combination of deep SAP technical or functional expertise and proven project management capabilities, enabling them to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, and technical architects throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex SAP implementation, rollout, and upgrade projects on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives—leveraging industry-standard methodologies including SAP Activate, Agile, and Scrum.

Experience

• 10–15+ years of overall SAP project delivery experience
• Minimum 5+ years in a Project Manager or Program Manager role on SAP ECC or S/4HANA programs
• Demonstrated experience managing at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversions
• Experience with global or multi-country SAP rollouts, template deployments, and localization requirements
• Proven track record delivering projects with budgets of $5M+ in complex, multi-vendor environments

SAP Domain Knowledge

• Deep familiarity with SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA (on-premise, private cloud, or BTP-based deployments)
• Functional expertise in at least one or more SAP modules: FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, HCM/SuccessFactors, or technical areas (BASIS, ABAP, Integration)
• Understanding of SAP HANA database capabilities, Fiori UX, and S/4HANA simplifications vs. ECC
• Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) integration patterns is a plus

Methodology & Tools

• SAP Activate Methodology – expert-level proficiency across all six phases
• Agile & Scrum – certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) or equivalent practical experience
• Waterfall/Hybrid project delivery models
• Project management tools: SAP Solution Manager, JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar Proficiency in executive reporting tools and risk/issue tracking platfor

  Key Responsibilities

  Project Planning & Governance

  • Lead full-lifecycle SAP project delivery from initiation through hypercare and closure
  • Define project scope, WBS, milestones, resource plans, and risk registers in alignment with SAP Activate phases
  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks including steering committee cadence, RACI matrices, and escalation protocols
  • Develop detailed project charters, integrated project plans, and status reporting dashboards for C-level and executive stakeholders

  SAP Technical & Functional Oversight

  • Apply hands-on SAP ECC and S/4HANA functional or technical knowledge to validate solution design, manage scope, and resolve delivery blockers
  • Oversee fit-gap analysis, blueprint/explore workshops, and solution design reviews across core SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, or BASIS/ABAP)
  • Partner with Solution Architects and functional leads to ensure technical decisions align with project objectives and target architecture
  • Manage data migration strategies, integration touchpoints, and cutover planning in S/4HANA brownfield and greenfield scenario
    

     

    Stakeholder & Change Management

    • Manage relationships with senior business stakeholders, SAP System Integrators (SIs), third-party vendors, and offshore/nearshore delivery teams
    • Drive organizational change management (OCM) initiatives including stakeholder engagement plans, training strategies, and communication roadmaps
    • Conduct regular project health checks, manage executive-level escalations, and present portfolio status to PMO leadership
    • Lead business readiness assessments and go/no-go decisions for go-live events across regional and global rollouts

    Risk, Budget & Quality Management

  • Own and manage project budgets ranging from $2M to $20M+, including vendor contracts, resource costs, and license spend
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; maintain RAID logs and drive timely resolution
  • Enforce quality gates, testing strategies (SIT, UAT, Regression), and sign-off processes in collaboration with QA leads
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT governance, audit requirements, and SAP best practices/standards

    Preferred Certifications

    • PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI
    • SAP Certified Associate – SAP Activate Project Manager
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II)
    • SAP Certified Application Associate in any functional module (FI, MM, SD, etc.)
