Job Description

Enabling smooth transition of new accounts - Customer retention and expansion of service through delivery excellence and excellent client relationship 
Focus on project opportunities and transformation initiatives - ITIL process definitions and implementation 
Automation in service delivery - Resource management, Utilization, Billing & Management reporting 
Employee retention, motivation and training 
Responsible for overall implementation and execution of the Technical project components 
Responsible for managing work stream leads and deliverables - Responsible for overall implementation strategy inclusive of testing strategy and overall execution of the identified work streams 
May be required to contribute to development, wherever necessary 
Develop master test strategy detailing the testing approach (Unit/ Integration/ User Acceptance) 
Assists in resolving issues identified by the project team (Technical, logistics, infrastructure, environment etc.) 
Ensure prompt communication to customer in case of delays with adequate supporting reasons for the delay 
Identification and quantification of risks associated with the project tasks - Identifies and escalates any scope change, potential risks and issues 
Support the communication plan and activities 
Supports PMO project status updates to the Steering Committee on a regular basis and escalates issues and risks appropriately 
Works with PM to assign resources for projects - Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building - Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level Plan, design and deliver strategic projects to bring business benefits and value to the Organization 
Conducting various phases of transition: Pre-Transition, Transition Phase & Post-Transition Phase Scheduling & Planning Project requirements. 
Manage and Track Project Milestones and Project expenses 
Prepare the Project Plan 
Follow Transition Management and Governance model and Processes 
Work closely with Project Stake holders and delivery team. 
Maintain good Business relationship with Project stake holders. 
End to end responsibility for the Transition. 
Provide project updates and reporting to stake holders. 
Coordinate with Technical and Management teams in Bangalore and globally. 
Project Scoping - Transition Budget tracking and forecasting as applicable
Documenting the agreed outcome & processes. 
Designing, procuring & deploying technology. 
Leading SLA discussions with clients by involving relevant people 
Ensuring continuous improvements in service levels by benchmarking the best practices. 
Coordinating with various functions during the course of transition - Smooth Handover to operations teams. 
Overall 10 to 12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure area with at least 2 to 3 years- experience in Infrastructure service Transition Management 
Strong Transition Management knowledge 
Experience in using Project Management methodologies and processes is a must - Good command of spoken and written English. 
Good communication and interpersonal skills 
To work under minimal supervision and should be Self driven 
Familiar with working in a project environment including planning, deliverables, progress tracking and reporting 
Ability to articulate how business issues may impact overall IT architecture and planning. 
Proven ability to consult, support, and inspire colleagues. 
Capacity to think creatively, yet pragmatically. 
Preferably ITIL Certified - Good awareness of PMP Methodologies for Project Management.

Required Technical/ Functional Competencies

Demonstrated experience between 15 years as a Transition Manager/Service Delivery Manager within large scale corporate business or programs, ideally, with experience in sourcing transitions and Data Centre, Infrastructure and End User Computing transition initiatives in multi-sourced federated environments. 
Prepares the Transition Management deliverables. This includes, but is not limited to, the transition plan, work plan, risk and mitigation plan and project budget. 
Prepares the management deliverables (eg, Project Management Plan, Risk Management Plan, Project Schedule, Project Management Status, Requests for Changes and Outstanding items), facilitates management reviews and seeks approval when necessary. 
Makes recommendations and proposes changes in the context of the transition project. 
Ensures a peer-to-peer liaison exists within the Service Provider Transition Manager and collaborates with the Service Provider Transition Manager in the resolution of any disputes. 
Acts as key point of internal escalation for the different project participants. 
Provides status on project costs, schedule and main issues on a regular basis. 
Logs the Outstanding Items and managed prompt resolution of issues from the Service Provider Transition Manager. 
Maintains overall control of the schedule and the delivery of all expected deliverables. 
Establish a Governance Structure, communication mechanism, along with roles and responsibilities and subsequent project transition and service delivery through RACI. 
Design a robust Transition process to meet transition deadline On Time and Above Client Expectations. 
Risk & issue management - creation and maintenance of risk and issue register. 
Monitor, track and resolve critical transition related issues. 
An exceptional track record of delivering large-scale, high value projects successfully at a country or global level 
Experience of structuring, running and managing complex infrastructure projects in specific technical areas, such as data centres, helpdesks, and networks 
Setting up and ensuring smooth routine reporting mechanisms. 
Ensuring that the scope of the services to be transitioned, and the SLAs expected from the service delivery are clearly understood and agreed upon by all stake holders.
Drive the activities around setting up the infrastructure to be used during the KT phase and also during the service delivery phase. Ensure that the required hardware/ software is in place, the connectivity is established and is adequate for sustained service delivery.
Monitor knowledge transfer activities for completeness and perform KT acceptance to ensure that the KT is sufficient. 
Drive activities related to project staffing and mobility, including recruitment, on- boarding, skill- gap analysis, organizing training programs, planning for travel etc. Involved in readiness assessment before cutover.
