What you will do?
- Facilitates deal qualification workshops, leveraging the Deal Qualification Checklist to arrive at an objective qualification decision
- Co-ordinate with pursuit intelligence to identify competitors and run competitive analysis and insights to establish a competitive strategy
- WIN STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
- Coordinates win strategy development, ensuring participation from key deal team members
- Facilitates win strategy development sessions, using a consistent approach to elicit and document buyer values, competitive positioning, key sales messages, and action planIterates and communicates the winning strategy throughout the deal lifecycle.
- BD PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
- Advises deal team leadership on the appropriate deal team size and composition
- Develops high-level resourcing plan and business development funding and seeks approval from respective Business Manager meetings.
- Tracks and reports spend against this estimate throughout the deal Manage access to BD WBS Revises BD estimate during the deal lifecycle if necessary.
What you should have?
- Overall 15+ Years of IT Infrastructure Bid Management (Strong skills in IT Infrastructure Solutioning)
- Expert in sales process steps and the elements required for successful deal pursuits.
- Manage the end-to-end bid process.
- Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and project management / delivery.
- Work with the Sales lead to develop a clear win strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling.
- Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues.
- Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all products/services are included in the final price to the customer.
- Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
- Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as providing guidance around the executive summary).
- Manage the bid budget and monitor and report on overall performance against KPIs.
- Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
- Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.
- Coordinate and plan all client presentations required as part of the bid submission.
- Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers.
- Drives development of the work plan across all workstreams, including qualification, proposal development, pricing, competitive intelligence, solutions, and legal/contract management. Service areas may include Qualification, Win Strategy Development, Pursuit Mobilization, BD Planning and Management, Review and Approval Management, Client Centric Support and Pursuit Close Out.
