Job Description:

Operations Engineer:
As an Operations Engineer, you will focus on maintaining and supporting distributed solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Your role includes incident and service request resolution, runbook execution, troubleshooting, and monitoring system performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to simplify CI/CD pipelines and improve operational efficiency for KONE’s digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong problem-solving attitude, attention to detail, and experience in cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident & Service Request Resolution: Hands-on experience in handling incidents and resolving service requests efficiently within defined SLAs.
- Runbook Execution & Maintenance: Ability to follow, update, and improve runbooks to ensure streamlined operations and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and apply effective fixes.
- Monitoring & Alert Response: Experience in using monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Basic Scripting & Automation (Preferred): Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate repetitive operational tasks.
- Cloud & Infrastructure (Preferred): Basic understanding of AWS services, infrastructure management, and CI/CD pipelines is an asset.
Education & Experience:
- University degree in Information technology, engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of proven experience in supporting distributed solutions and above-mentioned relevant areas
- Experience and knowledge on working in a Lean & Agile team
Required Skills:
Mandatory:
- AWS Expertise: Strong understanding of AWS services relevant to L2 support, including troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, monitoring, incident resolution, and automation. Hands-on experience in managing AWS-based solutions & Basic knowledge of Salesforce & relevant tools
- Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: Follows structured processes and runbooks meticulously.
- Collaboration & Communication: Works effectively with operations leads, engineers, and support teams to resolve issues.
- Proactive & Problem-Solving Attitude: Takes ownership of issues, investigates thoroughly, and ensures timely resolution.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn new tools and technologies to improve support efficiency.
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with scripting languages.
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce, including navigating the platform, understanding standard objects, running reports, and querying tables using SQL.
- Service Now CSDM/CMDB knowledge is an asset.
