Job Title: ABAP TechLead – ECC to S/4HANA Migration & Clean Core Expert

Experience: 8-10 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a ABAP Lead with over 8-10 years of experience in SAP development, including extensive hands-on work with SAP ECC and S/4HANA. The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in migrating custom code from ECC to S/4HANA, optimizing it for modern SAP environments, and aligning it with clean core principles. You will lead technical design, development, and code remediation efforts as part of SAP transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute custom code migration projects from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, including analysis, remediation, and optimization.
• Use SAP tools (e.g., Custom Code Migration App,) to assess, adapt, and validate custom code compatibility with S/4HANA.
• Drive clean core initiatives by reducing modifications to the digital core and implementing extensibility via SAP BTP and in-app extensions.
• Develop scalable ABAP solutions using ABAP Objects, ADOBE Forms, CDS Views, AMDPs, OData, ATC(Code remediation) and other S/4HANA-specific technologies.
• Guide the technical team in rewriting or replacing obsolete code and adapting custom programs to S/4HANA data models and architecture.
• Collaborate with functional teams to re-engineer business processes and map custom logic to standard S/4HANA capabilities.
• Conduct performance tuning, code reviews, and quality checks to ensure compliance with SAP best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development across ECC and S/4HANA environments.
  
• Strong experience in custom code migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, including code remediation and simplification.
  
• Experience in ABAP on MDG &  BRF+ 
  
• Proficiency in ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDPs, OData Services, Extensions, and SAP Gateway.
• Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and their technical integration points.
• Experience in upgrade and transformation projects, including greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transitions.
