SAP FICO Tax

Experience required: 8 -10 years

Key responsibilities

Technology

• Perform tax configuration and testing, any Tax Reporting Application, SAP
• Experience in  baseline configuration in SAP / Vertex 
• Experience in SAP – FI, MM, and SD
• Provide support to business users in resolving tax-related questions and issues,
• Troubleshoot and handle remedy ticket
• Proficient in handling Product Mapping file creation and mass upload in Vertex.

Business

• Interact with tax departments and other business segments for overall design/implementation and maintenance
• Work with deployment teams to deploy the solution to end users

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or professional qualification in tax, accounting, finance, or related field required
• Computer science, information technology, and project management certification is a plus
• Good communication, verbal, and written skills

Key competencies in technologies

• 5+ years of progressive relevant experience in SAP and OneSource Indirect Tax Application
• Knowledge of Indirect Tax and Withholding tax (Preferred)
• SAP experience in FI, MM, and SD (Preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Vertex integration
• Advanced MS Excel capabilities and an ability to manage significant amounts of data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate tax issues and requirements clearly to non-tax team members and work effectively across functional teams
• Excellent project management, organizational, and documentation skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Should be conversant with support processes and methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, and collaborate with various people and organizations in an effort to develop win/win results.
• High level of proficiency and understanding of information technology and the linkage between business processes, people, and systems.
• Should have worked on a large project with multiple teams
