Key responsibilities
  • Strategic planning: Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
  • Team leadership: Building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing sales team, including setting targets and providing coaching.
  • Financial management: Monitoring sales department financials, managing budgets, and having profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the sales function.
  • Market analysis: Understanding market trends, competitor analysis, and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Customer relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Performance reporting: Reporting on sales performance, including net sales and retail sales, to upper management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working with other departments, such as marketing, to align sales and marketing efforts.
