Job Description:

 

Experience required: 5+ years.

 

As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting distributed solutions with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security. Your role includes handling incident management processes, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), optimizing operational processes, and improving monitoring and observability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and operational workflows. The ideal candidate should have experience in IT service management (ITSM), AWS cloud technologies, and process automation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Proven experience in handling and owning incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when needed.
  • Problem Management & RCA: Strong ability to analyze recurring issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and drive problem resolution.
  • Technical Enhancements: Experience in optimizing and automating operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Knowledge in defining and improving monitoring needs, setting up alerts, and ensuring proactive issue detection.
  • Runbook Execution & Maintenance: Ability to follow, update, and improve runbooks to ensure streamlined operations and troubleshooting.
  • AWS & CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab -Preferred): Familiarity with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipeline concepts is an asset.

 

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Information technology, engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of proven experience in supporting distributed solutions and above-mentioned relevant areas
  • Experience and knowledge on working in a Lean & Agile team

 

Required Skills:

Mandatory:

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work across multiple teams (development, business, frontline operations) and effectively communicate technical concepts.
  • Ownership & Accountability: A self-driven professional who takes full ownership of operational responsibilities and continuously seeks improvement.
  • Continuous Learning: Adaptability to new technologies and evolving operational processes.
  • Service Now CSDM/CMDB knowledge is an asset.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in creating ITSM dashboards in ServiceNow / JIRA for improved visibility and reporting.
  • AWS Expertise: Strong understanding of AWS services relevant to L2 support
  • Understanding of observability and logging frameworks for enhanced system monitoring.
