Job description:

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented SQL Server Developer with strong experience in SSIS, T-SQL, and Stored Procedures to support, enhance, and maintain data solutions across multiple business applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database development, ETL processes, performance optimization, and ensuring data integrity and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and database objects.
• Create, optimize, and troubleshoot stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL processes (data extraction, transformation, and loading).
• Support multiple applications by writing efficient queries and resolving data-related issues.
• Responsible for handling tier 3 support tickets and providing resolutions within defined service level agreements.
• Monitor and improve database performance, indexing, and query execution plans.
• Handle data migrations, integrations, and transformations between systems.
• Work with application developers to design database solutions aligned with business needs.
• Implement data validation, error handling, and logging within ETL workflows.
• Maintain database security, user roles, and permissions.
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues related to data.
• Document database structures, ETL processes, and development standards.
• Participate in deployments, releases, and change management activities.
• Ontime Coordination and Status Reporting to the client.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL.
• Proven expertise in writing complex Stored Procedures.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Understanding of database design, normalization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience handling large datasets.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts is a plus.
• Familiarity with error handling and logging in SSIS.
• Ability to troubleshoot production data issues.
• Good understanding of data security and backup/recovery processes.
• Experience in strategic business analysis and collaborating with senior leadership.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Flexible to work in 24x7 environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Knowledge of Power BI / SSRS / SSAS (nice to have).
• Experience working in multi-application environments.
• Exposure to cloud databases (Azure SQL) is a plus.
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or similar).

• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.

Experience

• 5+ years of SQL Server development experience.
