Tech Lead - Informatica Job

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Data Catalog Implementation Consultant to design, configure, implement, and support enterprise-wide metadata management and data governance solutions using Informatica's cloud platform. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, governance teams, architects, and engineering teams to establish a trusted data discovery and cataloging framework.

Key Responsibilities

IDMC Data Catalog Implementation

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Informatica Cloud Data Catalog (CDGC) and related IDMC services.
• Configure metadata ingestion, profiling, scanning, classification, and lineage capabilities.
• Set up and manage metadata extraction from databases, data warehouses, BI tools, ETL platforms, cloud storage, and SaaS applications.
• Implement automated data discovery, data classification, and business glossary integration.
• Configure technical and business metadata repositories.

Data Governance & Metadata Management

• Collaborate with data governance teams to establish data cataloging standards and best practices.
• Define and implement data stewardship workflows.
• Develop business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata standards.
• Support data governance initiatives by enabling data ownership, stewardship, and policy management.

Data Lineage & Impact Analysis

• Configure and validate end-to-end data lineage across data platforms.
• Enable impact analysis for business and technical stakeholders.
• Document source-to-target mappings and metadata relationships.

Integration & Connectivity

• Integrate IDMC Data Catalog with:

  • Power BI
  • Tableau
  • Informatica Data Quality
  • Informatica MDM
• Configure secure metadata scanning and connectivity using Informatica Secure Agents.
