Data Modeler :

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Data Modeler to design, implement, and optimize enterprise data models that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database design principles, data governance, and performance optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into data models.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and ER diagrams.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and scalability across systems.
• Work with database administrators to optimize database performance and implement indexing strategies.
• Support ETL/ELT processes by providing guidance on data structures and transformations.
• Maintain data modeling standards, naming conventions, and documentation.
• Participate in data architecture and governance initiatives to ensure data quality and compliance.
• Review existing systems and propose improvements to data structures and storage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in data modeling or database design.
• Proficiency with data modeling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, Mermaid, SQL Developer Data Modeler, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL), and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.) and data integration principles.
• Familiarity with cloud databases (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas) for BI/Analytics.
• Knowledge of NoSQL and big data technologies (MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark).
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, and master data management (MDM).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
