Summary: The Automation Test Engineer will work closely with members of product teams to assure that the products/features Senior Software Test Engineer / QA Metrics & Governance Lead
Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Software Test Engineer to lead QA Metrics, Quality Governance, and Azure DevOps reporting for enterprise-scale eCommerce applications. This role will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and improving quality KPIs, defect analytics, Power BI dashboards, Azure DevOps reporting, and release quality insights while partnering with QA, Development, Product, and Leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Metrics & Reporting

• Own end-to-end quality metrics reporting across multiple applications and Scrum teams.
• Define and maintain KPIs including:
• Defect Containment
  
• Defect Leakage
  
• Automation Coverage
• Automation Effectiveness
• Defect Density
• Release Quality Metrics
• Production Incident Trends
• Create executive-ready dashboards and monthly quality reports.
• Perform trend analysis and identify improvement opportunities through data-driven insight
• Azure DevOps (AzDO) Governance
• Develop and maintain complex Azure DevOps queries and dashboards
• Validate and ensure reporting accuracy across boards, area paths, bugs, stories, tasks, and releases.
• Establish governance standards for:
• Work item management
• Bug lifecycle management
• Release tagging
• Area path management
• Reporting consistency
• Drive adoption of QA processes and AzDO best practices across teams
• Power BI & Analytics
  
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards sourced from Azure DevOps and enterprise systems.
• Create drill-down analytics for:
• Release quality
• RCA trends
• Test effectiveness
• Team productivity
• Automation metrics
• Ensure alignment between dashboard data and source systems.
  

Quality Governance

• Facilitate monthly quality reviews and operational reviews.
• Analyze defect root causes and identify recurring quality issues.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions across engineering teams.
• Support leadership reviews through accurate quality reporting and insights.
  

Testing & Process Excellence

• Support QA teams in improving testing effectiveness and defect prevention.
• Define and document QA standards, onboarding guides, and governance processes.
• Drive continuous improvements in testing lifecycle, release readiness, and quality reporting.
