Job Role
  
SAP FI (Financial Accounting)* Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing the SAP Financials module to help organizations manage their financial data, reporting, and compliance. 
  

Responsibilities:
 

• Business Blueprinting: Gathering financial requirements from stakeholders and mapping business processes to SAP standard functionalities.
• System Configuration: Customizing the SAP FI module (e.g., defining company codes, chart of accounts, fiscal year variants, and document types) to meet business needs.
• Testing & Validation: Conducting Unit Testing, Integration Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing to ensure the system behaves as expected.
• Data Migration: Extracting, transforming, and uploading legacy financial data into SAP using tools like LSMW, LTMC, or SAP Migration Cockpit.
• Support & Maintenance: Troubleshooting day-to-day user issues, applying SAP Notes, and managing system enhancements or upgrades (such as migrating from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA). 
  
  

Experience: 

• 5+ years of experience in end to end implementation in SAP FI (ERP, ECC and S/4) like General Ledger accounting, Account receivables, Account Payable, Asset accounting and FSCM modules
• Expert in inbound and outbound Banking process, design and EBS processes
• Expert in SAP FICO integration like FI-SD integration, FI-MM integration and FI-PP integration
• Strong Accounts and financial knowledge and good understanding of GAAP, IFRS standards
• Excellent project management and communication skills are expected 
  
  

Knowledge and Technical Skills:                                                                           

• Strong experience with the Implementation Configuration Tool (IMG) modules is a must   Working knowledge of overall SAP system, with key area as FICO functional is mandatory
• Expert on FSCM (classical Credit management, Advance credit management, collection and Dispute management)
• Experience in Electronic banking & interfaces with Banks
• Experience in Credit card processing and interface
• Hands on experience with month-end and year-end financial closing
• Understanding and configuration experience with FICO integration with SD, MM, PP and HR modules
• Very good understanding of Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (PTP) processes flow
• Support  New and Parallel ledger in ECC 6.0 Experience with report writer and report painter
• Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms
• Reading and good understanding of ABAP code is preferable
• Good user interaction skills and excellent communication are required. Strong customer-service orientation is required, and candidates must be highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
• Strong experience in design, configuration and working knowledge in Revenue Recognition, Product Costing and COPA
